Below is information about the club as well as frequently asked questions about membership.

Established in 1969, Spalding Woods Club is one of Sandy Springs’ largest swimming and tennis clubs nestled in the middle of Sandy Springs on ~11acres. Our youth swim team is consistently ranked among the best in the area and our adult tennis programs attract players of all levels. During the summer pool season, we pride ourselves on having a wide variety of fun and inclusive social events with the opportunity to meet other members and include your friends.

Frequently Asked Questions about Membership

Do I have to live in Sandy Springs to be a member?
No, we are open to anyone living in the metro-Atlanta area.

What is the cost to join?
Spalding Woods Club is a non-profit equity-based membership club. Upon being accepted for membership, there is a one-time equity contribution fee of $500, in addition to our $650 annual dues. The equity contribution is refundable to members in good standing when they resign from the club, subject to the terms of the Club’s By-Laws.  Join Now – Our club has the lowest annual membership fee and has a refundable equity fee. This is the best deal in town!

We also offer associate membership. It is $799 and does not include equity or voting privileges.

What does membership include?
Members have access to all club facilities, including the pool, tennis courts, and playground. During the summer, we offer a variety of family and adult-only social events. Members are also able to join club ALTA/USTA (adult) tennis teams and reserve courts up to a week in advance.

I don’t play tennis, can I join as pool-only member?
We only offer tennis/pool memberships and do not have senior, singles, pool-only, or tennis-only memberships.

How many guests can I bring to the pool or to play tennis and is there a guest fee?
There is no fee for out-of-town pool guests. For in-town guests it is $10 per day. Tennis courts must have at least one member playing on each court reserved.

When does the pool open for the summer?
The pool typically opens in mid-May and closes for the season on Labor Day.

Do the tennis courts have lights?
Our courts have lights that can be turned on in the evening and automatically turn off at 10pm.
