SWC Sale Update

An update on the Traton vs Sandy Springs bench trial regarding zoning denial.

Traton has decided to appeal the court ruling on its lawsuit over the rezoning of the SWC property.  While the appeal may or may not be successful, Traton has indicated they would be willing to either extend the existing contact or make an offer for the property without a rezoning contingency.
 
The board met to discuss this development and decided to move forward by resolving the issue regarding the permissibility of distributions to members upon liquidation.  Traton made a $10,000 nonrefundable deposit last year when the contract was extended and we intend to use those funds to engage an attorney to approach the Attorney General on this issue.
 
Once the distribution issue is addressed, we will consider all viable options and communicate with membership.
 
As a reminder today is the final day of the 2018 Pool Season. The Tennis Courts remain open for members to enjoy.
