Dear SWC Members,

Here a few “non-sale” matters pertaining to the Spalding Woods Club pool:

Season-ender party

Despite all the going-on’s with trying to sell our club, at the pool, its business as usual.  And as usual, we are planning a pool season-end party Saturday, August 29 – the weekend prior to Labor Day.  Unlike the season opener, this one will be “full-on”. In addition to the slide, we’ll have plenty of food/drinks/margaritas on hand with no request for contributions! Please mark the date for what may be SWC’s last pool hoo-rah. Also, we will need some help with the set-up and break-down….more details to follow.

Pool hours about to change

Fulton County schools are back in session starting August 10, and with that the pool hours get shortened. Please note:

August 10  – September 4

Monday – Thursday: 4:30 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., Friday – Sunday: 10:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M.

September 7 (Labor Day) - last day of 2015 swim season, 10:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M.

Dumpster bandits

We’ve been having a big problem this summer with people filling up the club’s dumpster – to the point where at the moment we can’t get anything in the darn thing. Please keep your eyes open for anyone who may be “dumping” on SWC’s dime. I am open to any suggestions on how we might help prevent this.

Does your dog like to swim?

Assuming our pool management company (Sears) gives us the green light, we are thinking about opening the pool the week after Labor Day in order to invite members to bring their dogs by for a swim in the pool before we drain it down and cover it up. Pls let me know of your interest in such an opportunity.

Thank you,

Michael White
